Application of pressure switch in hydropower industry

The basic principle of hydropower is to use the water level drop to cooperate with the hydro generator to generate electricity, that is, to convert the potential energy of water into the mechanical energy of the hydro turbine, and then use the mechanical energy to drive the generator to obtain electricity.
Pressure switches play an important role in monitoring hydropower equipment, for example, the turbine uses pressure switches to indicate whether it is full or empty, and whether it is ready to start or needs to close.
The following are some common applications of switches in the hydropower industry
1) Surge shaft: the pressure switch is used to monitor and measure the water level in the surge shaft. The pressure switch is also used to monitor the pressure of the tubing and prevent the tubing from bursting in extreme cases.
2) Pump: from leakage to irregular valve closure, the pressure switch is used to protect the pump from serious damage. When the pressure drops below the set point, the switch will activate an alarm and shut down the pump.
3) Pipeline pressure: sensing technology is used in the pressure pipeline to determine how much water will impact the turbine and its proposed speed
4) Filter system: the differential pressure switch is used to evaluate the blockage of the filter. Due to the large amount of water flowing through the plant, the inlet filter can manage the piping system to prevent pollutants, sediment and solid debris from passing through. If the differential pressure of the filter is too low, it is likely to be blocked and needs to be replaced.
5) Lubrication system: since there are a lot of mobile equipment to be lubricated, the pressure switch is used to measure the turbine oil pressure and notify employees when the oil pressure drops below the set value.
